The International Service Trip (IST) is a ten to fourteen day service-based immersion into different cultural, environmental, and socioeconomic communities around the world. IST teams take part in service projects that address unmet community needs, gain awareness of critical social issues, enhance their individual growth, and prepare for lives of active citizenship.
In January 2014, a group of up to 16 students and staff from Keene State College will travel to a host country to take part in an international service project. This year’s team will travel to the Bocas del Toro Bay area of Panama. The team will participate in service projects designed to improve the infrastructure of educational facilities, and increase access to clean water.
