Annual "Touch a Truck" Event

Circle K

The club also volunteers regularly at Fast Friends, the MDS Dances, the Monadnock Humane Society and Life Art. Throughout the year the club is involved with other events including Touch-a-Truck, park clean-ups, Camp Sunshine clean-up, a tour of the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute and fundraising events. College for Every Student (CFES)

CFES provides mentoring and tutoring projects that match KSC Students with local elementary through high school students. The CFES club hosts middle school students on campus for early college awareness activities and mentoring once per week.

The club meets weekly to discuss readings on mentoring, plan school visits and travels to an urban school to observe programs once per year. It’s an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience planning educational activities with children. First Book

First Book provides new books to children in need, addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy – access to books. An innovative leader in social enterprise, each year First Book distributes millions of free and low-cost books to disadvantaged children and the programs that serve them.

First Book-Keene State College is comprised of Keene State students looking to make a difference in the lives of surrounding area students. We provide service to the elementary schools in the area through Book Parties that can be scheduled through the Chair of the Keene AB and also through the granting of monies that can be used to buy books to support the children in your program.
