Mission

The Management Department at Keene State College has remained at the forefront of change in the education and preparation of leaders for business, government and a wide variety of non-profit organizations. While many schools and departments of business across the country have become highly specialized programs in which students are required to complete almost half of their baccalaureate degree with courses in the major, the Management Department at Keene State College adheres to the belief that the best way to prepare leaders is to provide them with a strong foundation in the liberal arts along with the management skills required to solve complex problems in an increasingly competitive global environment. The department’s mission focuses on developing flexible, liberally educated individuals capable of planning, motivating, and leading others in order to accomplish organizational goals. The department places a strong emphasis on the development of ethical reasoning, critical thinking, research, analytical and quantitative skills, along with communication, interpersonal, and team building skills necessary for success in today’s managerial roles.
