The Post-Baccalaureate teacher certification program is a non-degree bearing program completed at the undergraduate level.\u00a0 This comprehensive program consists of undergraduate coursework, portfolio development and field-based experiences that guide individuals from demonstration of competency requirements to initial teacher certification.\u00a0\u00a0 Program content includes child and adolescent development, exceptionality and learning; instructional methods; and creating social contexts for learning.\u00a0 Prior to receiving certification through a State Dept. of Education, students must demonstrate the competency to teach via a fourteen week full-time student teaching experience in an approved public school setting.<\/p>\n
