A driving force for excellence in training mathematics teachers at Keene State and internationally for over 20 years, Dr. Beverly Ferrucci, professor of mathematics, received the Alumni Association’s 2010 Distinguished Teacher Award during New Student Convocation on August 26.

I took Math for Elementary Education Teachers 1 & 2 with Dr. Ferrucci back in the early 90s. She was one of the best education professors I had at Keene State. Rather than just teach us how to do the math, she made sure we understood the how and why so we could teach it. In my opinion, Dr. Ferrucci is very deserving of this award and I congratulate her!
