Back in 1999, Marjorie Hilton ’44 took $10,000 and and worked with then KSC President Stanley Yarosewick to set up a scholarship to provide financial assistance to juniors and seniors majoring in Early Childhood Development. After Mrs. Hilton’s passing last year, her estate continued to fund the scholarship. Keene State’s Development Office recently received the last of those distributions, bringing the Marjorie P. Hilton Endowed Scholarship to $335,551.12, making it one of our largest endowed scholarships funded by bequest. It will guarantee that Mrs. Hilton’s legacy lives on here at KSC. Thanks, Marjorie!
She was a lovely lady! I enjoyed meeting her in our work as class secretaries. What a wonderful, meaningful, and needed gift for Keene State students!
