Searching for Meaning in an Age of Science — the 2013 Mason Library Lecture

The 2013 Mason Library Lecture presents world-renowned theoretical physicist and author Marcelo Gleiser speaking on “Imperfect Creation: Searching for Meaning in an Age of Science.” The lecture will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, in the Mabel Brown Room in the Student Center.

Dr. Gleiser’s research interests include the physics of the early Universe, the properties of solitons in quantum field theories, and questions related to the origin of life on Earth and elsewhere in the Universe. Dr. Gleiser will also be signing copies of his most recent book, A Tear at the Edge of Creation: A Radical New Vision for Life in an Imperfect Universe.
