The Visiting Artists Series offers a wonderful variety of musical genres and features several new artists.<\/p>\n<p>The series opens with a free preview of the entire season on Thursday, September 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Redfern&#8217;s Alumni Recital Hall. The preview will include video excerpts from performances, and recordings of some of the music. (Call 603-358-2168 to reserve a seat.)<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the line up:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, September 30:<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cliburn.org\/index.php?page=winner_detail&amp;compID=150\" target=\"_blank\">Yeol Eum Son<\/a><\/strong>, the most recent Silver Medal 2009 winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, October 21:<\/strong> <strong>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.borealiswindquintet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Borealis Wind Quintet<\/a><\/strong>, which <em>The New York Times<\/em> described as &#8220;a polished, elegantly turned performance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, January 27: <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.myspace.com\/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&amp;friendId=38108652\" target=\"_blank\">David Krakauer and His Klezmer Madness!<\/a><\/strong>, an internationally acclaimed ensemble that hurls the tradition of Klezmer into the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, February 24: The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ethospercussiongroup.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ethos Percussion Group<\/a><\/strong>, accomplished classical and world-music artists\u00a0 who marry global instruments and playing styles with the conventions of Western chamber music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, March 3: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ying4.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Ying Quartet<\/a><\/strong> celebrates Robert Schuman&#8217;s 200th birthday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, March 10: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cathieryan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cathie Ryan<\/a><\/strong>, former lead singer of Cherish the Ladies, helps us celebrate St. Patrick&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, April 13: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metacafe.com\/watch\/3158119\/philip_hamiltons_voices\/\" target=\"_blank\">Philip Hamilton&#8217;s Voices<\/a><\/strong>, this nine-voice a cappella ensemble&#8217;s performance ranges from barbershop quartet to blues to miners&#8217; songs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, November 1: Cirque Mechanic<\/strong>, in its latest creation, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=upzsLVnSsic&amp;NR=1\" target=\"_blank\">Birdhouse Factory<\/a>, a place where acrobatics and early 20th century machines come together.
