There’s great entertainment brewing at the Redfern this season. The Visiting Artists Series offers a wonderful variety of musical genres and features several new artists.<\/p>\n
The series opens with a free preview of the entire season on Thursday, September 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Redfern’s Alumni Recital Hall. The preview will include video excerpts from performances, and recordings of some of the music. (Call 603-358-2168 to reserve a seat.)<\/p>\n

Wednesday, September 30:<\/strong> Yeol Eum Son<\/a><\/strong>, the most recent Silver Medal 2009 winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.<\/p>\n Wednesday, October 21:<\/strong> the Borealis Wind Quintet<\/a><\/strong>, which The New York Times<\/em> described as “a polished, elegantly turned performance.”<\/p>\n Wednesday, January 27: David Krakauer and His Klezmer Madness!<\/a><\/strong>, an internationally acclaimed ensemble that hurls the tradition of Klezmer into the 21st century.<\/p>\n Wednesday, February 24: The Ethos Percussion Group<\/a><\/strong>, accomplished classical and world-music artists\u00a0 who marry global instruments and playing styles with the conventions of Western chamber music.<\/p>\n Wednesday, March 3: The Ying Quartet<\/a><\/strong> celebrates Robert Schuman’s 200th birthday.<\/p>\n Wednesday, March 10: Cathie Ryan<\/a><\/strong>, former lead singer of Cherish the Ladies, helps us celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.<\/p>\n Tuesday, April 13: Philip Hamilton’s Voices<\/a><\/strong>, this nine-voice a cappella ensemble’s performance ranges from barbershop quartet to blues to miners’ songs.<\/p>\n Sunday, November 1: Cirque Mechanic<\/strong>, in its latest creation, Birdhouse Factory<\/a>, a place where acrobatics and early 20th century machines come together.
