Though Ida was a regular annual donor, we had no idea she had set aside such a generous estate gift for the College.<\/p>\n<p>The Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery received $3,000 towards their interior construction project, known as \u201cthe wall.\u201d The Friends of the Thorne provided the funding to support this project.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThe Holocaust and Genocide Studies Department received a surprise donation of $4,000 from Julian and Julie Landau. These funds will help students who wish to conduct research and related travel expenses. Much gratitude to Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies <strong>Paul Vincent<\/strong>, who was essential in securing this gift for the department.<\/p>\n<p>Jan Cohen gifted $10,000 to the Cohen Center in support of the upcoming museum show from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yadvashem.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Yad Vashem<\/a>, the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. A living memorial to the Holocaust, the exhibit will be opening in late July and displayed for approximately a month. There will be several planned receptions for this show.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thanks to all our campus partners in helping bring scholarships and many generous donors to the College,&#8221; said Director of Development <strong>Ken Goebel<\/strong>. &#8220;For the month of June, total gifts surpassed $700,000.
