John “JC” Woodward

After earning a degree in Electrical Engineering at Union College, “JC” began his career programming mainframe computers in assembly language in the 1960s.  Later in life, he enjoyed a successful second career as a restorer of antique clocks and scientific instruments and as a gunsmith.

He now works part-time at Keene State managing the Community GIS Center as well as supporting research in the Geography and Environmental Studies departments with software development and GIS analysis.  He is a licensed commercial drone pilot and one of his favorite duties at the college is teaching students how to fly the department’s drones for research data collection.
